Membership rewards is a customer loyalty program by American Express. American express rewards its card members that regularly use their American Express cards. The more you spend using your card the more Membership Rewards points you accrue. These points can be redeemed for a wide variety of travel rewards, shopping rewards and entertainment rewards. Points can also be transferred to other loyalty programmes such as airlines (frequent flyer programs)
If you are an existing American Express card holder you have been automatically enrolled
You can earn Membership Rewards points for every Kes 100 of eligible spend on your card and KES 500 on ATM withdrawal. Simply use American Express for your everyday purchases and watch your points accumulate.

Transferring your points to another participating programme is easy. Go online and link the other account details to your Membership Rewards account. Alternatively you can call the Membership Rewards team on +254711025333 or +254202744333 or +254711025222 or +2542022744222 to transfer your points or link your details to your Membership Rewards account. You can also link accounts anytime and there is no limit to the number of partners in the programme that you can link to.
Partners often promote bonus offers for transferring points to their programme. Most partner programmes are free to register and by having choice of when and with whom to transfer you will get more from your Membership Rewards points
Provided you are already enrolled and your accounts are linked then the points transfer will usually be complete within five (5) working days.

For detailed points transactions/history, go to My Points at the top of the page. Alternatively, every month you will receive a Membership Rewards statements which shows the number of points you have accumulated and the points you have redeemed.
It takes 24 – 48 hours after the charge has appeared on your account for your Membership Rewards points balance to update accordingly.
No, unlike many other schemes your Membership Rewards points have no expiry date. However, please note that points are forfeited upon cancellation of your American Express Card and you may also face points forfeiture as a result as a result of non-payment.
Card members using American Express Green Card and American Express Gold Card will participate for free.
